Visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House for a fascinating look at architecture and design through the lens of an historic book and architectural fragments. Explore the first edition of Owen Jones' famous illustrated text, the 1856 Grammar of Ornament, a work that inspired and intrigued generations of artists and architects, including Frank Lloyd Wright. Then examine two highly ornamented architectural fragments from two of Wright's early designs: facades from both the Francis Apartment Building (1895) in Chicago and the Dana Thomas House (1902) in Springfield.
