Wright Around Chicago - Bus Tour

Chicago is where the legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright spent the first 20 years of his career. Leave the driving to us as you experience the best of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Chicago with expert commentary about the life and work of the man who established a uniquely American style of architecture.
Begin with a tour of the spectacular Light Court remodeled by Wright in The Rookery, an early Chicago skyscraper. Then head to suburban Oak Park, which boasts more Wright buildings than anywhere in the world. Enjoy a drive through Oak Park's historic district to see renowned Prairie style residences and landmarks, including Unity Temple. Take in a tour of the famed Home and Studio, which was Wright’s home and also served as his design laboratory where he experimented with space and form.
The next stop will be a tour of the iconic Frederick C. Robie House, Wright’s best known Prairie masterpiece and a precursor of modernism in architecture.
After a gourmet box lunch on the Robie House terraces (weather permitting), enjoy Chicago’s lakefront skyline with a scenic drive along Lake Shore Drive. Traveling from the city’s south side to the near north side, you will understand why Chicago is the first city of American architecture.
