Prairie School Design Workshop

Youth Architecture Workshop Level I is a pre-requisite for the Prairie School Design Workshop. Students entering 7th through 12th grade will explore the influence of nature and geometry on Wright’s architecture, learn to interpret architectural plans, create their own design for a "client," and experience a tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio. Students will also build a 3-dimensional two-story Prairie style model in the studio where the Prairie style was created and developed and participate in an architectural critique. They will study Frank Lloyd Wright’s Prairie style of architecture through visiting Wright’s Robie House, one of the most important buildings in the history of American architecture.
