This sentimental portrait of Catherine Tobin Wright, her six children and a neighbor child depicts the Wright family in an outdoor garden setting. Maginel Wright Barney, younger sister of Frank Lloyd Wright, has portrayed the family in a loose idealized style where background scenery, likenesses and drapery are suggested rather than sharply detailed or delineated.
